Puerto Vallarta

Grammy and C are having fun in front of the ship

My favorite Broadway Belter-Jimmie

This is a better shot of you-know -who on stage
Nothing like a brisk walk after a meal

C liked coming to Grammy's room to play stickers.
She's watching the  scary part of one of her movies.

C and Momma having a run!
This is a fun game-running through Mommy's legs. I did this when I was little.

This is a tile shop in Puerta Vallarta. They do amazing work! Upstairs is the workshop and we saw the men and women hand paint different tiles, bowls, and other dishes.

This is a typical building in PV-lots of flowers
K is taking a shot of the landscape

Beautiful, Yes?

And, when C decided she had enough, she just put her head down and went to sleep!

More Cruise News

We have Grammy, C, and Baby ready to get on the bus to take a tour of Puerta Vallarta

One of the many animals I found on my bed each night!

This may be too dark-do you see K and C on the right side of the stage? It was C's first time on stage  and she loved it! That's Jimmy singing-he has a beautiful voice.

Whew! I'm still rocking and swaying in the breeze-but there isn't any breeze....I promised a few more lines about the cruise...and of course more pix! Holland America began its history as a principal carrier of immigrants from Europe to the US. In 1895 the company offered its first vacation cruise from New York. In the 1970's vacations became her full time service.
r family vacations and Rosie O'Donnell  put a great entertainment package together and every night  (and some days, too!) were loaded with laughs, songs and magic. The headliners were fantastic (Sam Harris, Cyndi Lauper and the Broadway  Belters and many, many more). We visited three ports, Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. I've been to these ports before so I didn't go ashore until Puerto Vallarta, which was just as beautiful as I remembered.   Life's good! I'm hoping to get some pix from my new friends and when I do I'll post them. until then you'll have to be satisfied with the regular family stuff.....

Cruising

These guys are the greatest!
DB, our stateroom attendant, was very talented making
animals out of towels

This has been the most fun weeks in a long, long time! K,S,C and I (that's grammy to some of you) just came back from a week long cruise to Mexico. We were on the Oosterdam, one of Holland America's (HAL) medium-sized ships. It is now my favorite cruise line, and I will look for more cruise specials on HAL in the future.
Why was this so special? It's the first cruise my family and I took. The ship was impeccable. the crew so friendly (did you ever know a crew that learned your name by the end of the week?), the food delish. entertainment outstanding, but most of all my fellow passengers. They were so friendly! RVacations know how to put a great package together, and find the best crew so that it was a fantastic week-just too short.
But the best by far were the new friends I met-Jimmie, Randy, Jessie, Bruce and Chris took me under their collective wings and made me feel so special-just like a celebrity! They are all talented professionals that took time to make happy memories Grammy will keep forever. You guys have an open invitation to come visit.  You have a special place in my heart and i love you!
More cruise news and pix later....

Home at Last-But not for Long!

I arrived home Monday, March 3rd. We (Cecile & I) tried to come up with 5 good reasons to be back at our SKP Park-I thought of three. The best reason is that after laundry and other mundane chores I'll be packing for a Mexican Riviera Cruise with my favorite girls...Kris, Sandi and best of all, Cassidy. This is their first cruise and I hope not their last...
Before I go, I'm taking the rig in for repairs..I regret buying a brand new rig-I wish I had found one a couple of years old that was already "broken in"-oh well. I want everything spiffy before I go to Mendocino for the summer...but that's another blog.
While I'm gone we'll celebrate St. Patrick's Day and Easter-so I'll have some fun pictures to share.
Happy travels !
