A "Sprinkle"

Cecile and I were on our way out of the park when we saw a family of quail-It's the first family we saw and the smallest quail ever!
Naturally, we waited for this very important group to cross the road. What a treat! And, a great start for our afternoon activity. We were on our way to attend a "sprinkle" (new talk for a baby shower) for my daughter and her family and for the newest addition expected in approx. 6 weeks.
Alysonn hostessed the event-great food and wine
C helped mama open gifts. The drinks were from my friend Ann accompanied by gift cards for local dinners-something for the whole family!
This talented young lady designed and decorated a yummy cake!
So now we have nothing to do but wait for EM to make her appearance.

Hats Off...To Seniors!

I live in a 55+ co-op park. We keep our expenses down by pitching in and maintaining the park with a variety of talented, willing Members (Actually, it's part of our Membership agreement.)  We work together and play together. This evening we're saying "Hats Off" to ourselves for the work we do. Seniors know how to have fun!
Vivian and I manned the decorating table. For those who didn't have a hat or felt they didn't have any talent for decorating were helped with flowers, ribbons, paper hats, etc. Everyone got into the spirit.
Potsie, our resident clown, greeted the Members and guided them to the decorating station if they needed it.
The muscle and brains behind it all...Ken and Janice. PIP, A committee they co-chair, is responsible for the event and with their crew prepared a FREE tostada dinner for all.
We had a full house-even a parade of hats-with prizes for the smallest, tallest, most creative, best of show and a few others I can't remember.
Viv, my partner in crime and a fine hatmaker from newspaper!
