We (Jack & I) spent all day shopping and sight seeing and on the way home decided a perfect end to the day would be apple pie a la mode. It was impossible! After three stops at various resturants and food stores we gave up and went to the grocery store.....
Maybe you had to be there but we laughed so hard at our efforts-Jack is visiting me on his way to Alaska and hadn't seen this part of California. We took the Comptche-Ukiah Rd. to 101 (Ukiah), did some shopping then went to the casino then came back to the coast via 128. For those of you who aren't familiar with the CA coast these roads wind through the coastal range and are a perfect example of redwoods.
Just for a store-bought piece of apple pie-it was worth it!
Bethany and Billy are our newest Hosts at the Ford House. They bring a fresh perspective and lots of energy. We'll need that energy for the 4 field trips scheduled this week.
Our first campfire of the season-L to R: Denise, Heather, Billie, Bethany and JD
If the first two weeks are any indication, it's going to be a fun summer!

Who's Jack? He's got a great smile, and you two are just hangin' out together . . . or is there more to this story. Actually, a little bird told me a little about this relationship, but I want to know the whole story!
The pie a la mode looks great!
I have another week and then I'm going to eat as much sugar as possible. Jack looks very friendly and we're glad you have a new "friend"!
